Assisted Reproductive Technology (“ART”) law. If unable to attend in person, a live stream is available as well. Click here to register and view more information.
The official description of the CLE is as follows:
“One in eight couples in the United States struggle with infertility, and a wide variety of family building options are available to them such as gestational surrogacy, egg donation, and embryo donation. The modern family includes single-parent and same-sex households who also use these forms of assisted reproduction to create a family.
As ART becomes more prevalent throughout the country, various states face a unique challenge where the law has not caught up with advances in reproductive technology. Indiana statutory law concerning ART is largely absent or antiquated. Indiana courts and practitioners therefore rely on case law and best practices to address legal aspects of ART such as the establishment of legal parentage, gestational surrogacy agreements, and egg/embryo donation contracts. As assisted reproduction continues to gain traction, familiarity with ART law in Indiana is crucial for Indiana family law practitioners and judges.”
Hope to see you there!
